INSPIRATIONS FOR THE WEEK OF AUG. 31 - SEPT. 6, 2008

I hope everyone is having a nice Labor Day weekend!

Let’s continue this week by making this week work for us! By putting labor/action behind the words and thoughts that you think or speak this week! Make this week a labor of love, a labor of kindness, a labor of inspiration! These words are useless unless you put action behind them and “SHOW” the world that they exists.

Inspiration for this Week:

As I listen to people use words or make statements like love, or say I care about you, I’m a kind person, I’m a giving person, I’m a nice person, I’m a great friend, I’m honest, etc. and then I sit back and watch their actions, (which are sometimes so different than what just came out of their mouths). It amazes me, how many people, including myself at times, just use the words for words, or to appease someone else or for that matter appease themselves, their ego’s. Words like love, caring, kindness, nice, honest etc. are not meant as words, they are meant to be shown. Demonstrated, followed through with the way we live our lives, with the way we treat others and most of all the way we treat ourselves. So don’t tell me you love me, unless you’re prepared to show me! And here’s a hint….All of those types of words, must start from within and then passed on to everyone else………….. So this week love yourself, be kind to yourself. Be honest with yourself. Be nice to yourself…..You deserve it!!! And then and only then will you be able to make statements and show the world all the love, kindness, honesty, caring and inspirations that lives within yourself, just overflowing to share with the world. And remember this when you get discouraged. When a women gives birth. It is hard, it is sometimes frustrating and sometimes very painful. But a woman knows and labors through it, because once she is done, she also knows all those hard efforts will pay of f. The pain is gone, the frustration is gone and her hard work is over. And she now has her rewards for her hard efforts and is holding one of the most precious creations on earth… Another precious human being….. Which is truly a labor of love! And it was so worth it!!!! So don’t ever give up! Just keep laboring through it and create magnificent things in your life too!

This Weeks Prayer: Lead by Rev. Sharon L. Jones
Dear God:
As we start this week, let us be laborious in our efforts to love ourselves. To follow your examples and pass them on to everyone we meet this week! Let us open up our hearts to loving ourselves, finding contentment within our own worlds and appreciating all that You and the Universe has to offer us. Let us give thanks for small pleasures. Let us give thanks that you have given us jobs here on earth to work through. And by the end of the week give us courage to pat ourselves on the back and smile and say that was a job well done! Good job! We made an effort this week. We worked hard at trying to create a better world for ourselves and our family and for everyone who came in contact with us this week. As we did not just sit and let our minds wonder, we took the time to put the action behind each word, each thought we processed this week, in hopes that through our actions it made it easier for someone else’s job that they had to do this week. Thank you God for giving us energy, strength, courage and the ability to follow through with our ideas, which in turn will make us feel accomplished and proud within our own hearts that we labored and worked hard and gained love and understanding for ourselves and the rest of your world. Thank you God…Amen

(The following quotes/interpretations are pulled each week “randomly”, I do not personally pick & choose. I do this by asking (My) God what page, card, crystal, etc. he would like to represent wisdom to assist people on their journeys for the week, I then flip, turn, pull, etc. randomly and the following are the results to assist you through the week.)

Tarot Card for the Week: Five of Pentacles
In this card a couple pass and turn theirs backs to a church window, not realizing there’s a light on and there is help within….This card may indicate you are troubled or discontent with the way things are in your life spiritually (knowing right from wrong, etc. but not following it!) And also you feel trapped by material/financial troubles; and you are so focused on not being where you want to be, that you feel stuck and don’t feel like there’s any use putting any effort into anything or can’t see how to ever get out of these situations. Don’t be discouraged! There is a way out. But you must make the effort to search out the opportunities. You must make the effort to ask for help! And let your ego get out of the way. This card represents that even though you are so focused on “there’s no way out!” There is help available to you, but again you are the one who must make the effort to ask for it, and be open enough, by getting out of your own way to be able to accept it. This is a card you must look and listen to the light within and work hard at reversing this card, because by reversing it, it guarantees that your hard times can be overcome and that the worst has past. So work hard at getting rid of your negative thoughts. Ask for help if you don’t know where to turn…And by making that effort the Universe will assist you, if you let it! So hopefully be the end of the week, you will have turned your life around and are now able to see the light within.

Wisdom From the Bhagavad-Gita: This Week's Quote (Chapter 4- 16-19)

Even the intelligent are bewildered in determining what is action and what is inaction. Now I shall explain to you what action is, knowing which you shall be liberated from all sins.

The intricacies of action are very hard to understand. Therefore, one should know properly what action is, what forbidden action is, and what inaction is.

One who sees inaction in action, and action in inaction is intelligent among men, and he is in the transcendental position, although engaged in all sorts of activities.

One is understood to be in full knowledge whose every act is devoid of desire for sense of gratification. He is said by sages to be a worker whose fruitive action is burned up by the fire of perfect knowledge.

Abandoning all attachment to the results of his activities, ever satisfied and independent, he performs no fruitive action, although engaged in all kinds of undertaking.

Such a man of understanding acts with mind and intelligence perfectly controlled, gives up all sense of proprietorship over his possessions, and acts only for the bare necessities of life. Thus working, he is not affected by sinful reactions.

He who is satisfied with gain which comes from his own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady both in success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions.

Bible Quote: St John II 11: 9-10
Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Crystal for the Week: SNOW QUARTZ
Snow quartz - This stone assists with letting financial and spiritual difficulties run it’s course and builds up confidence, stamina and opens up pathways and resources to get through them. This stone is for self. Allowing you to find ways within yourself to explore and assist yourself with your growth and slowly opens doors to change your fortune, be it on a material level or a spiritual level. This stone will assist you with getting through the mundane things like filling out tax forms, organizing bills etc. also allowing you to find new ways of finding new sources of income. Which then in turn will alleviate stress and discomfort in your life. This stone also warms up cold relationships offering a way to warm cold hearts or release frozen feelings towards one another. But again you must be open to the new ideas, that this stone may offer you and you must take action to follow through with the mundane things in your life to clear the way to your new found fortune.

So this week looks like it’s all about taking action, laboring, loving yourself and others. So do not look at life as what we know of as “:Work!” Look at it as a labor of love and put action behind everything you do this week. And slowly but surely it will make a better way for yourself and others.
Have a great week!
